The set for L'Amfiparnaso

L'Amfiparnaso -  plus other sets at the Trestle Theatre Company

Sally Preisig of Mimics Productions worked for Trestle Theatre Company as their Company Stage Manager, prop buyer and prop and costume maker, between the years of 1988 and 1993. The productions she worked on were 'Top Storey', 'Ties that Bind', 'The Edge', 'L'Amfiparnaso', 'Vintage Stuff', 'Hanging Around', 'Creche', 'Executive Stress', 'State of Bewilderment' and 'Little Victories'.

Sally bought and constructed various props for 'Top Storey', 'Ties that Bind', 'The Edge', L'Amfiparnaso' and 'Vintage Stuff'.

She was the co set designer of 'The Edge' which won the 1991 Time Out Award for set design.

The set consisted of giant battered hardback wooden books that together acted as the various settings in the story and which magically opened in different ways to form doors, suitcases and cubby holes that revealed or hid the cast.

She also design coordinated 'L'Amfiparnaso' in 1991. An opera set on a larger than life dinner table with a giant gingham table cloth, a napkin which lay across the laps of the front row of the audience, a 12' diameter plate, cutlery, salt and pepper pots, ravioli cushions, a giant slice of melon see-saw and an ash tray that doubled as a roulette wheel!She also design coordinated 'L'Amfiparnaso' in 1991.
